Afternoon Sunlight

The living room was quiet, the afternoon sun slanting through the half-open blinds, casting stripes of light across the plush gray carpet. Jake reclined back on the couch, Mia nestled comfortably against him, her legs draped over his lap. The TV flickered softly in front of them, playing a video they'd both been curious about — a sultry scene unfolding with a couple in a dimly lit room, their bodies moving together with surprising intensity.

As the visuals played out, Jake could feel himself growing harder, his awareness of Mia's body next to him heightening with every passing second. She shifted slightly, her hand casually slipping beneath his shirt, fingertips skimming along his abdomen. His own hand mirrored hers, sliding up her thigh, fingers brushing the edge of her shorts, feeling the warmth of her skin underneath.

Turning to face her, Jake caught her eye, the shared glance full of the playful teasing they’d been exchanging all day. He leaned in, capturing her lips in a deep, lingering kiss, their breaths mingling as the rest of the world fell away. Her fingers ventured lower, tracing the waistband of his jeans as he teased her neck with soft, deliberate kisses, hearing her breath catch when he found that sensitive spot below her ear.

Sitting up, Jake grinned as she took the hint, shuffling to her knees to peel her top off, his eyes never leaving hers. She helped him out of his t-shirt, her hands gliding over his chest, both of them savoring the sensation of skin against skin, the friction igniting something deep within them. A soft gasp escaped her lips as he pulled her close again, the heat of their bodies melding together seamlessly on the couch.
