Blinded by Morning

Morning sunlight filtered through the blinds, casting soft patterns on the walls of their bedroom. Owen sat up in the rumpled sheets and smiled at Dana, who was still curled under the duvet. Today, they had decided to try something new — the blindfold they'd playfully discussed was waiting by the bedside. The anticipation hung in the air, charged with curiosity and a hint of nerves.

"Are you ready?" he asked, his voice low and teasing. She nodded, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. As she lay back, he gently secured the blindfold over her eyes. Deprived of sight, her other senses sharpened. She could hear him moving, feel the brush of the fabric against her skin, and smelled the subtle scent of their shared morning coffee.
