Dim Light

The living room was dimly lit, the curtains drawn against the afternoon sun. The plush sofa was soft beneath them as Jake settled in, his hand resting on a bottle of wine chilling in an ice bucket on the side table. His partner was beside him, her legs tucked underneath her as she leaned against the cushions.

They both watched the screen in front of them. A favorite video began to play — a sultry scene of a couple slowly undressing each other in a stylish, dimly lit bedroom. On screen, the woman's lips parted as her partner traced a line from the base of her throat downwards, his touch lingering over the lace of her bra. Jake felt his pulse quicken, his eyes flicking between the video and the flushed anticipation on Zoe's face.

Jake shifted closer, his hand finding the small of her back, fingers trailing lightly up her spine. She shivered under his touch, her body responding to the scene and his proximity. "You want to try that?" Jake murmured, nodding towards the screen. She nodded, her eyes still fixed on the performers as Jake began to unbutton his shirt, revealing the smooth lines of his chest.

With each piece of clothing shed, the air between them thickened. Zoe slid the straps of her top down, skin warm against the cool air. Jake's attention was unwavering, his hands roaming over her now-bare shoulders, fingertips grazing down her arms. He leaned in, his lips brushing over the curve of her shoulder, tasting the salt of her skin.
