Flickering Flames

The living room was dimly lit, the glow from the fireplace casting flickering shadows over the room. Alex leaned back against the soft corner of the couch, watching Sofia across from him. They'd spent the last few minutes chatting about their day, laughter mingling with the crackle of the fire. But it was something else entirely that was about to unfold — something new they both wanted.

Their third joined them, a friend they both trusted, and the atmosphere shifted. Sofia started things off, drawing their friend in for a deep kiss, her hands tangled in their hair, the silken strands slipping between her fingers. Alex moved closer, his eyes fixed on them, the sight drawing a low hum of approval from him. The living room had never felt more charged with potential.
