Golden Retreat

The late afternoon sun bathed the backyard in a golden glow, the air still and heavy with the hint of summer's end. Connor and Hannah laid sprawled on a large, soft blanket beneath the shade of their sprawling oak tree, hidden from any prying eyes by the dense foliage.
