The living room was dimly lit, the glow from the TV screen playing across the walls and casting long shadows. Jake and Zoe were seated on the plush carpet, legs entwined, their backs against the couch. They had chosen a particularly steamy video: a pair of lovers in a slick, modern bedroom, the woman straddling her partner with an intensity that matched her moans. Jake's fingers traced absent patterns on Zoe's thigh, the heat rising between them as their eyes flicked between the screen and each other.
