The living room was dimly lit, a single lamp casting shadows on the walls as Lucas adjusted the cushions on the couch. He settled back, feeling the soft fabric beneath his shirt, and reached for the remote to start the video they'd been planning to watch together. The screen flickered to life, displaying a couple entwined on a lush bed, their bodies moving in slow, deliberate rhythms — the woman was on top, grinding down with a look of ecstatic abandon.

Meg joined him, their warmth a welcome contrast to the cool air of the room. Without a word, she leaned in, their mouths meeting in a deep kiss.
