New Horizons

The shower was already running when Jake stepped into the bathroom, steam curling around him in thick tendrils. The tiles were warm underfoot, and the air was heavy with the scent of eucalyptus from the body wash Paige loved. He could see her silhouette behind the glass door — slender, inviting, the curves of her body softened by the mist.

Jake opened the door and stepped inside, the water cascading over his shoulders, a welcome heat that made his muscles relax. She turned to smile at him, her eyes bright with anticipation. His hands found her hips, drawing her close under the spray where the water pounded and danced over their skin. She reached for the body wash, letting the slickness glide between them as she pressed against him.

His lips found her neck, trailing down to her collarbone, the water mixing with the taste of her skin. Slow, deliberate, he moved his hands from her waist to her breasts, feeling the soft give under his fingers. She arched into him, her back meeting his chest, and the motion sent water sluicing down between them.

As they kissed, the idea they'd teased each other with many times before hovered between them — a new experience, something they'd both wanted to explore. He pulled back slightly and met her gaze, gauging her reaction as he reached behind her, fingers slick with soap, and pressed gently against the entrance they hadn't yet ventured through. Her sharp intake of breath turned into a soft moan as he moved slowly, exploring new territory, the warmth of the water easing the way.
