Sensations Unseen

The bedroom lights were dimmed to a soft glow, casting long shadows across the walls. Cole sat on the edge of the bed, the rich burgundy duvet beneath him, as Meg stood before him with a mischievous smile. In her hands was a black silk blindfold, its material smooth between her fingers. She leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, and he felt the whisper of excitement flutter through his stomach.

As she tied the blindfold around his head, the velvet fabric settled softly over his eyes, snuffing out the last ribbons of light. His senses sharpened with his vision gone, the scent of their fresh linen enveloping him, the light rustle of the sheets loud in his ears. Meg’s hands came to rest on his shoulders, thumbs brushing his collarbone. With his sight taken, every touch was electric. He hadn’t expected it to feel that good — to be so entirely focused on the sensation.
