Veil of Anticipation

The living room was dimly lit, the curtains pulled tight against the world outside. Claire stood by the couch, letting her fingers brush over the smooth armrest, a slight thrill running up her spine. Sam was behind her, his presence a warm shadow, holding the soft black blindfold in his hands. She took a deep breath as he gently tied it over her eyes, shutting out the room, heightening everything else.

"I didn't expect it to be this intense," she murmured as darkness enveloped her, her other senses sharpening. Sam eased her down onto the plush carpet and, guided by touch, introduced something new — the whisper of a toy against her inner thigh. The sudden vibration was a surprise, eliciting a gasp from her, her hips responding instinctively. It was different, better than she had imagined, the toy's relentless hum complementing the skill of Sam’s hands.
