The Morning Shower

The morning sun filtered through the bathroom window, casting speckles of golden light across the tiled floor. The shower was already running, steam rising to fog the mirror as Jake stepped inside, feeling the water cascade over his shoulders. He'd invited Paige to join, anticipation swirling in the air between them. She entered a moment later, her hand brushing his, and in the other, she held a black silk blindfold that he had suggested the night before.

"Are you ready?" Jake asked, his voice a low rumble barely audible over the sound of water. She nodded, a playful smile curving her lips as she reached to tie the blindfold around his eyes, adjusting it over his dark hair. The absence of sight heightened his other senses; the warmth of the water enveloping them, her nimble fingers skimming down his chest, and the scent of her favorite floral shampoo all became more vivid.
