The Unexpected Dance

The living room was warm with late afternoon light, shadows stretching across the plush gray carpet. Carter and Riley had the space to themselves, a small oasis away from the world's demands. Carter settled on the couch, reclining against Riley's side, his head resting comfortably on his lover's shoulder. A mischievous smile played on Riley’s lips as she reached for the small remote on the coffee table and handed it to Carter.

"Are you ready?" Riley asked, her voice low and promising. Carter took the remote, his fingers brushing against Riley's as he did. He felt a thrill at the control in his hands, a tight anticipation curling in his stomach. Riley stood slowly, the hem of her rose-colored dress swaying around her thighs. She turned toward Carter and began a slow, deliberate dance, her body moving in time to an unheard rhythm. Her eyes never leaving Carter’s, Riley moved closer, her hips swaying, lips parted in a soft smile.
