Whispers of Surrender

The scent of sandalwood oil hung in the air of their dimly lit bedroom, the flicker of candles casting a soft glow across the room. James stood near the foot of the bed, a bottle of warmed massage oil in his hands, watching as Luna lay face down on the plush bedspread, skin bare and inviting in the amber light.

James started with long, sweeping strokes along her back, pressing his thumbs into the muscles beside her spine, working out tension she hadn't realized she held. She tensed for a moment, then moaned softly as his fingers pressed a little deeper, a surprised pleasure washing over her. Encouraged, James continued, one hand spreading her wider while the other applied gentle, but firm pressure with the oil-slicked fingertips.
