The large picture window in Owen and Hannah’s living room framed a panorama of falling snowflakes, the city muffled by winter’s embrace. Below the window, a plush rug was spread across the hardwood floor, inviting them to sink into a cozy world of their own. Hannah sat cross-legged, her back against the couch, with Owen nestled beside her, his fingers idly playing with the fringe of the blanket that draped around their shoulders.

Their breath mingled in the cool air as Owen leaned into a kiss, slow and exploratory, his tongue brushing against Hannah’s with a deliberate tenderness. Her hand slipped up his back, fingers tangling in his curls, pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, their lips moving in a rhythm only they knew, building a world where only the two of them existed.
